Summary of the contracting process

The Welsh Government is planning a procurement for the "Provision of Interactive Labour Market Intelligence Analysis Tools". This contract falls under the category of market and economic research and is valued at £600,000. The procurement is currently in the planning stage, with a future notice date set for 4th October 2021. The tools will support the Welsh Government and its partners in making informed decisions concerning the current and future skills needed in the labour market. This initiative aims to enhance the existing local and regional Labour Market Intelligence by providing accessible and manipulable data.

This tender presents an excellent opportunity for businesses involved in IT services, software development, and research consultancy to expand their operations. Companies that provide existing tools capable of integrating quickly into governmental systems will be particularly well-suited to compete. The swift implementation timeframe outlined in the tender indicates a preference for enterprises that can deliver proven solutions rather than those requiring extensive development, thus creating avenues for product-based service providers in the technology sector.
