NHS Low Calorie Diet Programme
Notice Description
The NHS Diabetes Programme, a joint partnership between NHS England and NHS Improvement, Public Health England and Diabetes UK, wish to procure a maximum of 11 providers to deliver at scale a Low Calorie Diet intervention consisting of the provision of 12 weeks of Total Diet Replacement products alongside a 12 month structured programme of support to people living with Type 2 diabetes provided in either in groups, through one to one sessions or using digital methods to eligible participants with Type 2 diabetes. Each provider will work with one of 11 ICS sites delivering the intervention to up to 500 participants.The contracts will initially be for a period of 3 years (referrals accepted for 2 years) with an option to extend for a further 24 months subject to the outcomes of the programme. NHS England reserves the right to increase the number of behavioural interventions to be delivered per annum. The numbers of behavioural interventions may vary during the term of the contract.

Lot 1 North East and North Cumbria - Face to Face Group
Delivery Model: Face to Face GroupLocation: North East and North CumbriaDelivery of an intervention to around 500 participants, which will include the provision of up to 12 weeks of Total Diet Replacement products alongside a structured programme of support to people living with Type 2 diabetes. The package of support for this Lot is to be provided in face to face group sessions (to those referred from primary care in line with the clinical eligibility criteria defined within the Service Specifications). The Service is to be delivered to groups of up to 15 Service Users (the Provider must offer smaller group sessions where appropriate in order to avoid undue delay in Service Users commencing group sessions). The intervention will last 12 months providing support to ensure successful food reintroduction and weight maintenance following the initial weight loss phase. Providers must be prepared to deliver the service remotely should this be required by the Commissioner
Lot 2 West Yorkshire and Harrogate - DigitalDelivery Model: DigitalLocation: West YorkshireDelivery of an intervention to around 500 participants, which will include the provision of up to 12 weeks of Total Diet Replacement products alongside a structured programme of support to people living with Type 2 diabetes. The package of support for this Lot is to be provided in Digital sessions (to those referred from primary care in line with the clinical eligibility criteria defined within the Service Specifications). The intervention will last 12 months providing support to ensure successful food reintroduction and weight maintenance following the initial weight loss phase. Providers must be prepared to deliver the service remotely should this be required by the Commissioner
Lot 10 Somerset Face to Face GroupDelivery Model: Face to Face GroupLocation: SomersetDelivery of an intervention to around 500 participants, which will include the provision of up to 12 weeks of Total Diet Replacement products alongside a structured programme of support to people living with Type 2 diabetes.
