Summary of the contracting process

The South Wales Fire and Rescue Service (SWFRS), in collaboration with the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust, has initiated a tender for "Professional Services" classified under building consultancy services. The procurement is currently in the active phase, with the tender due to close on 12th October 2021. The contract spans three years with an option for a one-year extension at the discretion of the contracting bodies. Companies interested in this tender should prepare to submit proposals covering a variety of relevant services across eighteen different lots, with the potential for significant contract values.

This tender presents a remarkable opportunity for businesses engaged in consultancy, architecture, engineering, and project management. Companies that specialise in cost management, civil and structural engineering, environmental services, or decarbonisation initiatives will be particularly well-suited to compete. Given that the contract encourages firms to bid for multiple lots, those with diverse capabilities and resources, whether large corporations or SMEs, can maximise their participation in this project to enhance their market presence and foster growth.
