Summary of the contracting process

The North East Lincolnshire Council is conducting a public procurement process titled "North East Lincolnshire Council Highways Framework 2022 - 2026", which falls under the construction industry category. The tender is currently active, and the procurement method is an open procedure designed to establish a framework agreement for various highway maintenance and improvement projects within North East Lincolnshire. Key components of this framework include minor civils works, structural repairs, and capital works, with an overarching value anticipated to be around £68 million. The tender period is set to conclude on 6 January 2022, with a planned contract renewal late 2025.

This procurement framework presents a wealth of opportunities for construction and civil engineering firms, particularly those with experience in roadworks, maintenance, and infrastructure projects. Companies capable of delivering high-quality work under the Authority's rigorous standards are encouraged to participate, especially those skilled in operating within urban environments. The framework allows for mini competitions and direct awards, favouring competent suppliers that can manage various lots, thus creating significant potential for business growth in providing essential transport infrastructure services in the region.
