Summary of the contracting process

The Ministry of Defence in the United Kingdom is planning a procurement process for the Future Integrated User Services (F-IUS) programme, which aims to award five contracts related to mobile devices, voice and video services at different security levels. This procurement falls under the communication and telecommunications industry category, specifically under goods, and has key dates for industry engagement that include the anticipated start of supplier selection and invitation to tender phases in late 2022. The primary delivery location for the services is the United Kingdom, with the transition of services expected to be complete by the end of 2024.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in telecommunications, IT services, and related support systems. Companies that can provide innovative solutions for voice and video services, particularly those capable of handling high-security requirements, would be well-positioned to compete for these contracts. The buyer's intention to utilise an e-Tendering system allows for effective registration and participation, fostering an environment for diverse suppliers to engage in this critical defence sector procurement.
