All Wales Ophthalmology Consumables Framework Agreement
Notice Description
NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership - Procurement Services (NWSSP-ProcS), hosted by Velindre NHS Trust, are inviting tenders on behalf of the NHS bodies in Wales for the All Wales Ophthalmology Consumables Framework Agreement. This procurement will involve an establishment of a multi-supplier framework agreement. NHS bodies will have the option to award direct call off contracts or run mini-competitions under this framework. Bidders may submit offers for 1 or all lots. Value Based / Innovation OffersValue Based Procurement (VBP) is founded in the principles within Value Based and Prudent Healthcare. The concept of systematically capturing and measuring both clinical and patient outcomes are firmly embedded within the strategic plans of all organisations and through the recommendations outlined at a National level i.e., Planned Care Board, coupled with the work in place to capture cost in a range of areas using the technology i.e., TDABC Time Driven Activity Based Costing and PLICs Patient Level Costing. Triangulating Value Based Procurement with these approaches will only add to the delivery of a Value Based healthcare system for NHS Wales.
