Summary of the contracting process

The public procurement process for the supply of Electric Panel Vans, spearheaded by Lancaster City Council, has been successfully concluded. Positioned within the procurement stage as 'Award', the tender was part of a selective procurement method using a restricted procedure. The industry category focused on goods, specifically within the motor vehicles segment (CPV: 34136200), targeting regions in the North West of England, primarily around Lancaster (UKD4). This tender, identified under the title "Electric Panel Vans" with the ID DN818193, aimed at acquiring two electric panel vans through a framework and was finalised on 8th July 2026, with the award effective to Motus Group UK Limited.

This tender presents a substantial opportunity for businesses that supply electric vehicles or those looking to expand their offerings in eco-friendly transportation solutions. It is particularly advantageous for large-scale vehicle manufacturers or suppliers with the capability to fulfil orders through framework agreements and mini competitions. This procurement also underscores the growing demand and shift towards sustainable, electric vehicle solutions, opening up growth prospects in the emerging green economy. Businesses that specialise in electric and hybrid vehicle production, distribution, and maintenance are well-suited to leverage such opportunities to enhance their market presence and secure future contracts with public authorities similar to Lancaster City Council.
