Summary of the contracting process

The procurement process initiated by Wellhouse Housing Association Ltd. and Calvay Housing Association Ltd. involves a Day-to-Day Reactive Repairs and Void Property Works contract for 2024. This tender, classified under the construction work industry, is a restricted procedure with an emphasis on quality (30%) and cost (70%) criteria. The procurement stage is currently active, focusing on various lots, including Joinery, Plumbing, Electrical, Emergency Out of Hours Work, and Void Property Works. The location for the delivery of these services is Easterhouse and Barlanark, Glasgow (UKM82). The deadline for submission is 10 January 2024, with an initial contract period of 36 months, potentially extendable by two additional years.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, especially for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) specialising in repair and maintenance services, plumbing, electrical works, and general construction. The procurement involves the possibility of being appointed to multiple lots, thus increasing contract value and scope. Companies that meet public sector compliance criteria and have a proven track record in similar projects are well-suited to participate. The contract's flexibility to add further properties in case of additional acquisitions further enhances the potential for revenue expansion over the contract period.
