The open procedure saw the tender awarded to STENNETTS LTD, based in Cranleigh, with the contract signed for a term starting from 26 June 2025 until 16 June 2028, with options to extend until 2030. The procurement follows the UKPGA legal basis and the full contract value stands at £780,000 net (£936,000 gross). This tender provides significant opportunities for growth, particularly for businesses in the industrial machinery and construction equipment sectors. Companies with expertise in the hire and maintenance of construction machinery, as well as those adhering to current emission regulations like Euro 6 engines, will find the contract relevant. SMEs and firms that can deliver high-quality technical solutions, demonstrated by the 60% weight given to quality in the award criteria, are well-suited to compete for similar future tenders. The nature of the contract requiring rapid response times for maintenance also means that businesses offering strong logistical support systems stand at an advantage. The open procedure and framework agreements provide avenues for businesses to engage and potentially expand their portfolio by offering competitive costs alongside valid technical proposals.
