Summary of the contracting process

Dacorum Borough Council procured fire, safety and security works, goods and services for its housing and other buildings across Hertfordshire. The requirement covered passive and active fire safety and associated building security systems. It included alarm monitoring; automatic opening vents and barriers; automatic doors; commercial and domestic door-entry systems; dry and wet risers; emergency lighting; fire alarms and equipment; fall-arrest systems; personal-protection water misting; sprinklers; suppression systems; and warden-call systems. The standstill period ended on 11 May 2026. Dacorum Borough Council subsequently withdrew the Lot 2 award decision and abandoned the lot; the contract will not be signed. The decision not to sign was made on 13 July 2026.
