The project falls under the "works" procurement category, specifically targeting park and playground equipment, construction work, and recreational services. It is currently at the tender stage, with a procurement method of open competition below the threshold. The contract value is estimated at £450,000 excluding VAT, and the proposals should adhere to specific design and sustainability criteria outlined in the tender documents.

This tender presents substantial opportunities for businesses involved in construction, particularly those specialising in skateparks, as well as sectors focusing on sustainable and innovative design practices. Companies experienced in creating inclusive recreational spaces and those with the capacity to utilise recycled or low-impact materials are well-positioned to compete. The emphasis on sustainability and accessibility ensures that businesses with relevant expertise and resources to offer long-lasting, eco-friendly solutions can potentially benefit from public investment and expand their portfolio in the community infrastructure domain. Smaller enterprises are encouraged to participate in this open competition, with innovative approaches and proven experience in similar scale projects likely enhancing their competitive edge.
