Summary of the contracting process

The Guinness Partnership Limited, in collaboration with ProcurePublic Limited, has concluded the procurement process for the Buildings Remediation Framework. This initiative, aimed at supporting both planned and reactive remediation across residential and mixed-use properties, is available for all UK public sector contracting authorities. The framework covers extensive remediation and safety works including fire safety measures, structural repairs, and compliance surveys. The open procurement process culminated with an award on 24 November 2025, allowing contractors to begin operations starting 16 October 2025 through to 15 October 2029. The procurement method involved an open procedure, seeking submissions from competent contractors, with the tender period ending on 25 August 2025.

This framework provides vast opportunities for business growth, particularly for contractors in construction, repair, and maintenance services. With a contract value of £250 million and provisions for SMEs to partake in various workstreams based on their capabilities, it encourages participation from small to large enterprises. The scope of work—ranging from cladding replacement to fire alarms and structural fortifications—means that specialists in fire safety, structural engineering, and facade work are well-positioned to benefit. For businesses seeking to expand their operations within the UK market, this framework offers a platform for increased visibility and long-term partnerships within the public sector.
