Summary of the contracting process

The East of England NHS Collaborative Procurement Hub has concluded the award process of a Framework Agreement titled "Managed Neutral Vendor Services" under an open procedure. This procurement process, governed by the Procurement Act 2023, focuses on service management responsibilities and functions related to hospital and related services across the UK. The agreement, effective from 4th January 2026 to 3rd January 2030, provides a platform for various public sector organisations, including NHS bodies, local authorities, and educational institutions, to access cost-effective, fully managed services. The framework aims to enhance service operations, minimise risk, and ensure comprehensive value for money while adhering to a compliant market route.

This tender opens significant avenues for business growth, especially for SMEs and large enterprises in the healthcare sector. Opportunities lie in providing advanced diagnostic and managed services under the framework agreement. Consultants and service providers specialising in hospital and medical services can leverage the framework to establish partnerships and tap into a wide range of public sector projects. With the framework allowing for mini-competitions, businesses can tailor their offerings to meet the specific needs of contracting authorities, thereby increasing their market presence and potential profitability. Suppliers like Fujifilm Healthcare UK Ltd, Siemens Healthcare Limited, and Ergea UK and Ireland Limited, among others, have already been engaged, signifying the tender's robust competitive business environment.
