Summary of the contracting process

FORHOUSING LIMITED, a public authority operating at the sub-central government level in the United Kingdom, is initiating a tender for "Multi Element Electrical Works." The procurement process is currently in the tender stage and involves an open competition method, with applications invited from various businesses until 6th February 2026. The project pertains to the works category, specifically involving planned and preventative maintenance, as well as remedial works across electrical systems. The tender includes an end-to-end maintenance service on a 24/7 basis, excluding specific annual safety visits and sprinkler systems which are covered partially. Situated in the UKD region, this initiative is aligned with UK legislation under the legal basis 2023/54.

This procurement presents a substantial opportunity for businesses specialising in electrical maintenance, repair, and installation, including those with capabilities in handling alarm systems, emergency and security equipment, and sprinklers. With a gross amount of £4,320,000 available, small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are particularly encouraged to participate due to suitability considerations detailed in the lot. The contract period extends from June 2026 to June 2029, with potential renewals up to 2031, depending on performance criteria. The project places a 60% emphasis on quality and 40% on pricing, ensuring comprehensive evaluation beyond mere cost competition, thereby providing a potential platform for business growth through sustained engagement with a public sector entity.
