Summary of the contracting process

The Crescent Purchasing Consortium Limited has successfully completed a procurement process for a multi-supplier framework agreement for software licences and associated services for academies and schools. This framework, titled "CPC/RB/01/2025 - Software Licences & Associated Services for Academies and Schools," was initiated under the Procurement Act 2023 and covers a broad range of software products from leading software providers. The procurement method adopted was an open procedure, involving various lots like Microsoft, Adobe, and Google for Education, among others. This was a UK-wide procurement opportunity with key contracts signed on 7th June 2026, and the contract period extending until June 2028, with possible extensions until 2030.

This tender represents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in software solutions, notably those equipped to deliver services in education and data management. The framework includes comprehensive lots covering Microsoft's extensive software suite, Adobe products, and innovative educational technologies like Google Workspace, presenting vast potential for growth. Businesses that cater to large education sectors or have capabilities in data security, backup, and recovery are particularly well-suited for these opportunities. The involvement of various established companies such as Softcat PLC, Insight Direct UK Ltd, and Misco Technologies highlights the competitive nature and scope of this procurement process. This framework ensures businesses can access a wide array of procurement opportunities, enhance their market presence, and contribute to innovative educational environments across the UK.
