Summary of the contracting process

The Crescent Academy, based in Stoke-on-Trent, is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process aimed at establishing a multi-supplier framework for professional consultancy services. The procurement, titled "GEM (Good Estate Management) Framework - Professional Services," falls under the services category and encompasses various sectors including construction, engineering, and real estate services within the United Kingdom. This initiative is scheduled with a key milestone for market engagement on 4th March 2026, allowing stakeholders to provide insights that will shape the framework's final design. The full framework is anticipated to commence on 22nd June 2026, operating over a three-year span with potential for a one-year extension.

This procurement presents significant opportunities for businesses across multiple sectors—particularly those offering project management, cost consultancy, design, and technical advisory services. The focus on creating a wide-ranging framework allows for potential involvement from SMEs, who can take advantage of direct awards or further competitions. Companies experienced in delivering services such as architectural design, building surveying, and mechanical and electrical work would find this an ideal opportunity to expand their operations and tap into government projects, thereby fostering business growth through access to varied public sector clients.
