Summary of the contracting process

The National Crime Agency (NCA), a central government public authority based in London, is initiating a procurement process to acquire a vehicle purchasing service. The project, titled "Vehicle Purchasing Service", falls under the industry categories of motor vehicles, fleet management, repair and maintenance services, armoured military vehicles, custom broker services, and motorcycles. This procurement is currently in the planning stage, with market engagement activities outlined. Interested suppliers needed to register their interest by emailing the NCA before engaging fully in the tender process. The procurement process includes stages that verify security and commercial suitability, with the initial engagement milestone scheduled to end on 29th May 2026. The contract is significant, valued at approximately £50 million, with a service period beginning in April 2027.

This tender presents a lucrative opportunity for businesses, especially SMEs, involved in vehicle supply and fleet management to expand their reach within government contracts. Given the scope of work, companies specialising in sourcing, registering, and delivering various vehicles across the UK would be well-positioned to compete. The contract includes the potential for renewal, providing an extended business avenue until 2032. Engaging in this contract could boost business growth by cementing relationships with a key governmental agency, navigating complex security requirements, and demonstrating capability in handling substantial projects.
