Summary of the contracting process

The Scottish Government is undertaking a procurement process for a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) focused on "Fire Alarm Design, Installation, and Associated Project Management Services", dividing the services into two lots: design and installation, and project management services. This initiative is conducted through a restricted procedure, and is categorised under "goods" with a CPV classification of "Fire-alarm systems" (CPV: 31625200). The procurement process, valued at £12.5 million GBP, is active and targets projects across Scotland, complying with relevant fire safety and building legislation. The tender period concludes on 27th June 2031, with a DPS that could be extended annually. Interested suppliers should note that they can submit bids electronically and must comply with insurance and qualification criteria specified by the buyer.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses specialising in fire alarm systems and project management consultancy, particularly those with experience in comprehensive fire safety services and cladding-related risk mitigation. Companies with the capability to deliver project management, coordination for fire detection systems, and compliance with industry standards such as BS 5839 will find this tender especially pertinent. Suppliers are invited to bid for one or both lots, ensuring services are in line with stringent safety standards, thus fostering potential for growth and integration into government-led safety initiatives. Suppliers will need to provide evidence of their qualifications and past project experience, making this opportunity ideal for companies with a robust track record in large-scale safety system installations and management.
