Summary of the contracting process

The London Borough of Harrow is in the planning stage to procure services for the "Provision of a Fleet Accident Repair Service". The intended contract covers the maintenance and repair of various municipal vehicles, including minibuses, LCVs, and HGVs. This procurement falls under the services industry category and is valued at £480,000, with the gross amount reaching £576,000 GBP. It is categorised under public authority procurement by sub-central government. The preliminary market engagement event is scheduled for 21st July 2026, and interested parties can communicate with the council through a designated procurement business partner. The project's completion range is from 3rd December 2026 to 2nd December 2030, targeting a location within the London Borough of Harrow.

This tender presents significant business growth opportunities, particularly for SMEs, as it aims to break down barriers to entry for locally based companies. Enterprises specialising in vehicle bodywork, paint repairs, and mechanical repairs would find this opportunity attractive, given the diverse range of vehicles in the council’s fleet. Participation in the preliminary market engagement can provide valuable insights into the tender requirements and industry best practices. Businesses capable of ensuring quick and cost-effective repair services will be well-positioned for success in this competitive procurement process.
