Summary of the contracting process

Yorkshire Water Services Limited, located in Bradford, is initiating preliminary planning for a Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation (MEICA) Services Framework. This procurement targets the utilities industry, specifically focusing on both clean water and wastewater assets. The process is currently in the planning stage, with a preliminary market engagement scheduled until 14 July 2026. This engagement invites interested parties to express interest and provide feedback on the proposed structure and other key attributes. The framework aims to outline services that include a wide range of mechanical and electrical works and maintenance under a multi-lot, multi-supplier agreement, with further development ongoing.

This tender presents valuable opportunities for businesses specialising in electrical installation, mechanical installations, and engineering services, particularly those flexible enough to cater to both project delivery and maintenance needs. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to participate, creating potential involvement in long-term contracts extending up to 2032. By engaging in this preliminary stage, businesses can influence and shape the evolving procurement process, gaining insights and forming relationships for prospective tendering when the official call for competition is announced. Companies with expertise in MEICA works and associated specialities could find substantial growth opportunities through this framework tender.
