Kent County Council, trading as Procurement Services, intends to establish a local and national framework for end-to-end records and information management services. The requirement covers secure storage, management, digitisation, governance and disposal of physical and digital information assets. This procurement is at the planning stage and is not yet an invitation to tender. Kent County Council expects to use a framework agreement, with one lot currently identified. The indicative contract period is 1 March 2027 to 28 February 2031. The estimated value is £50 million excluding VAT, or £60 million including VAT, and the procurement is above the relevant threshold. The buyer is carrying out preliminary market engagement to test whether the market can meet the requirement, gather feedback on realistic specifications and industry standards, and inform the route to market, contract structure and commercial model. The engagement is scheduled to conclude on 25 September 2026.
