Summary of the contracting process

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex, on behalf of the Sussex and Surrey Police and Crime Commissioners, sought vehicle maintenance services for police vehicles. The work covered four vehicle groups: motorcycles, passenger cars, vans up to 3.5 tonnes, and vans and lorries over 3.5 tonnes. Maintenance was to be delivered from suppliers’ premises located within 20 miles of the authorities’ workshops in Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex. It suited businesses with workshop premises close to the authorities’ sites in Surrey, East Sussex or West Sussex, and with the capability to service one or more of the specified vehicle groups. Suppliers could compete for motorcycles, passenger cars, lighter vans, or heavier vans and lorries; the framework allowed appointments across all four lots. Work allocation was to be shared between appointed suppliers, and the authorities reserved flexibility to move work between lots or locations in certain circumstances. Technical quality carried twice the evaluation weight of price, with social value also assessed. The procurement was cancelled, so this opportunity did not proceed to supplier appointments.

Notice Description

The Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex (the Sussex PCC/the Authority) on behalf of itself and the Police and Crime Commissioner for Surrey (the Surrey PCC/the Authority) are seeking to appoint a maximum of 32 of suppliers for the provision of vehicle maintenance services, as detailed in the ITT Statement of Requirements (Specification). The Requirement will be tendered as a multi-supplier framework divided into 4 (four) lots, listed within the ITT Statement of Requirements (Specification) document. A maximum of 8 suppliers may be awarded a contract on each Framework lot. To minimise environmental impact and vehicle downtime, suppliers' premises must be located within a 20-mile radius of the Authorities' workshops in Surrey, East Sussex and West Sussex.

Lot Information

Motorcycles
