Summary of the contracting process

London Stadium185 intends to replace end-of-life loudspeakers and procure and install a new speaker system within the stadium bowl at London Stadium, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, London. This is a specialist audio installation and venue infrastructure works requirement, including loudspeakers, speakers and associated siteworks. The main purpose is to restore or improve the stadium’s speaker provision through a complete procurement and installation service. The specification may also include tailored commercial partnership opportunities linked to the supplier’s involvement with the venue. These could cover an exclusive speaker-provider association, brand and advertising activity, promotional campaigns, technical tours, pitch days, stadium use, event hospitality, ticketing, case studies, testimonials, social content and event-day LED branding.

This process is at the planning stage: London Stadium185 has announced its intention to procure and is undertaking preliminary market engagement before deciding the final tender design and route to market. The buyer expects to use a framework agreement. A supplier engagement day is planned for 17 September 2026, from 13:30 to 16:30, with registration responses requested by 15 September 2026. The buyer expects delivery and installation to begin on 6 December 2026 and continue until 1 March 2028, with a possible extension to 31 August 2028. The stated gross value is £1, including VAT, and the procurement is marked above the applicable threshold. One lot is planned, with renewal available.

This will suit specialist audio-visual contractors, loudspeaker manufacturers, systems integrators and venue technology firms able to design, supply, install and maintain speaker systems in major sports venues. London Stadium185 is specifically seeking organisations with the capacity and knowledge to install such a system, previous installation experience at a major sports venue, or previous maintenance experience on a major sports-venue speaker system. Suppliers should be prepared to demonstrate relevant capability in concise form and explain whether they are on, or can join, a relevant public sector framework. The engagement is intended to help shape the technical requirements, commercial model and procurement route, so experienced suppliers can influence the future specification and explore partnership, branding, promotional and hospitality options.
