A470 Royal Welsh Way Subsidence
Notice Description
The project involved carrying out remedial works to the subsiding carriageway, located on the A470 Royal Welsh Way. The works included but not limited to:* Excavation of the existing carriageway, verge and embankment.* Removing existing carriageway and drainage.* Installation of kerbs.* Installation of a new full construction carriageway.* Installation of new drainage.* Apply thermoplastic road markings.* Vegetation clearanceThe works are located on the southbound lane between the A470/Gloddaeth Lane roundabout and the A470/Marl Lane roundabout, approximately 250m north of the access to Bodysgallen Hall. The carriageway is constructed on top of a one metre high approx. embankment, surrounded on both sides by agricultural fields.Full details of the works are contained in Volumes 1 - 4.
