Marine Power Systems' (MPS) mission is to become a world leader in the manufacturing and supply of marine energy extraction hardware by having the highest performance and most cost-effective technology available in the market. We plan to demonstrate our sector leading wave energy converter (WEC) and floating offshore energy platform systems at the grid connected BiMEP test site in northern Spain, beginning operation in early 2023.The project has been part-funded by the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government and significant private investment has been received to support the project.MPS has already awarded major contracts to deliver the Megawatt Scale (MWS) Demonstrator project, including agreements with PRINCIPIA, Bourbon Subsea Services, Black & Veatch as well as specialist companies in the sector. More information can be found at https://www.marinepowersystems.co.uk/our-blog/.The micrositing survey is required to confirm the location of MPS' offshore floating energy platform at BiMEP. The survey will also support the anchor design and confirm anchor touch down point. Additionally, the survey will confirm a suitable cable corridor between BiMEPs' subsea connector and MPS' platform.MPS requires a highly experienced contractor to complete a micrositing survey at the BiMEP test site.
