Summary of the contracting process

The Isle of Anglesey County Council is currently in the planning stage of a procurement process titled "Market Testing - 10mm PAS100 compliant Compost / Soil improver". This initiative, focused on the services industry category, involves the Council's exploration of new commercial market possibilities for its PAS100 standard compost. Located in Anglesey, Wales, this endeavour is aimed at maximising the commercial potential of higher quality compost produced from green garden waste collected kerbside. While there are no set deadlines mentioned, the Council invites interested commercial organisations to register interest and possibly arrange site visits to view the compost production process.

This procurement process presents a unique opportunity for businesses involved in agricultural, horticultural, and landscaping services to expand their offerings. Organisations specialising in procurement and resale of agricultural supplies, landscaping work, and related products would be well-suited to engage in this opportunity. The comprehensive categorisation under CPV codes such as agricultural services and landscaping further indicates a broad spectrum for potential business growth. Companies that can market and distribute the high-quality compost for diverse uses, such as domestic or commercial landscaping, stand to benefit significantly from participating in this tender.
