Lot Information

Lot 1

Planned Preventative maintenance (PPM), reactive and minor change works activities to be undertaken on the internal and external building fabric including hard and soft landscaping and bird pest control. Due to the design and complexity of this building much of the fabric maintenance is only accessible via rope access. It is considered the highest risk work activity that is undertaken on site, and it is therefore mandatory to have a specialist contractor who reports directly to Scottish Parliamentary Corporate Body (SPCB) staff whose primary focus is high level work, and is an organisation who is an accredited member of the Industrial Rope Access Trade Association (IRATA) which minimises the risk to individuals and the business.. IRATA is the internationally recognised standard and qualification for Rope Access operatives and organisations. It encompasses all the industry relevant European and International Standards for equipment, health and safety, training, quality management and quality assurance.
