Education Scotland has a requirement to place a contract with an external service provider for the provision of Glow Open Badges. Glow is Scotland's national digital environment that offers a number of different servcies to support learning across the curriculum. The Open Badges will be used to communicate skills and achievements by providing visual tokens packed with verifiable data and evidence that can be shared across the web.

Education Scotland wish to offer a servcie that will allow educators to create and issue badges to their students in recognition of their skills. Learners will be able to earn badges and display these across the web as evidence of their learning.
