Prisons Clinical IT System
Notice Description
A prison clinical IT system which provides a suitable prescribing functionality linked, in real time, to administration recording along with functionality that facilitates repeat prescribing, stock ordering and reconciliation. In addition the system must facilitate integration with SPS IT systems, such as PR2, or its successor as well as systems supporting health and social care integration. There will also be a requirement to provide implementation, development, training and ongoing system support.

It is the intention of NSS to enter into a contract pursuant to which Prison Clinical IT system(s) is delivered as a managed service. The contract will deliver services to entities constituted pursuant to the National Health Service (Scotland) Act 1978 as amended, Scottish Prison Service, [Integration Joint Boards established pursuant to the Public Bodies (Joint Working)(Scotland) Act 2014 and any local authorities established pursuant to the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994.
