Summary of the contracting process

Shire Housing Association is conducting a public procurement process for the Framework Agreements titled "Shire Housing Association Framework Agreements for Gutter Cleaning and Re-roofing." This procurement is centred on the housing and community amenities sector, specifically targeting contractors for gutter cleaning and re-roofing services throughout the East Ayrshire region. The procurement method employed is an open procedure, and while the process has reached the award stage, significant dates to note include the opening of bids on 12 July 2019 and the subsequent contract signing on 10 October 2019. The Framework Agreement is set to last for four years with a mutual start date in late July or early August 2019.

This tender presents a valuable opportunity for businesses specialising in roofing and gutter services, particularly small and medium-sized enterprises that can demonstrate their expertise and industry compliance. Companies able to provide relevant credentials in roof inspections and re-roofing projects, as well as those with experience in housing-related services, will be well-positioned to successfully compete for the contracts. The Framework allows selected contractors to participate in mini-tender competitions, thereby potentially ensuring a steady flow of work over the duration of the agreement.
