Seabird Tracking Equipment
Notice Description
The Scottish Ministers requires seabird tracking equipment. The tracking equipment will be used as part of broad scale monitoring of seabirds present in Scottish waters. In order to better understand how seabirds use the marine environment and the threats and pressures that they may encounter, information is required on their movement and behaviour at sea. Whilst substantial tagging data have been collected in some regions and for some species, for others they are lacking. The work has been separated into a series of Lots, with each Lot providing the specification for the tracking equipment required for a given exemplar species/ species group (equipment purchased may be used for other species than indicated if equipment are suitable).

Tracking equipment for great black-backed gull
