                "description": "The University of Strathclyde's Department of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering (MAE) requires a flight training organisation to support in delivery of the practical flight training element of it's new MSc in Advanced Mechanical Engineering (AME) with Pilot training. The flight training organisation will deliver the infrastructure and services to deliver flight training and support the students in working towards an International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) recognised Private Pilot Licence. This will include providing 45 hours of flight instruction and supervised solo flying for each student by a CAA qualified instructor, as well as providing suitable aircraft and airfield facilities. Scheduling flight time throughout the academic year and around students' academic timetable as appropriate. The flight training organisation should also provide support and advice to students regarding how and when to book CAA examinations (as required for the award of an ICAO PPL).. Economic operators may be excluded from the competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in Regulation 58 of the Public Contract (Scotland) Regulations 2015. Please see the ITT contained on the PCS project relevant to the procurement and the other tender documents for further information.",
