Marine Scotland have a requirement to replace some existing equipment and to expand the number of receivers to form a "Deepwater Vector Array (DVA)" to provide higher resolution detection data including on fish released within the array and allow fish to be tracked further off shore. This is required to understand smolt movements in relation to marine renewables development sites. The array will also produce information for any other acoustically tagged fish which pass through it.
