Provision of Aluminium Door and Window Repairs to Non-Domestic Properties within North Ayrshire - Introduction: North Ayrshire Council ("NAC") are looking to notify the market of this future contract opportunity. It is anticipated it will be advertised in May 2021 as an open tender, with the Contract Notice published on Public Contracts Scotland and the procurement exercise carried out via Public Contract Scotland-Tender. NAC welcomes expressions of interest from contractors, by completing the below questionnaire and returning to williamtomelty@north-ayrshire.gov.uk before close of business 9th April 2021. Background: NAC require a contractor to carry out reactive maintenance to aluminium door and windows within non-domestic properties, due to the high volume of repairs required. Most of the works are for property security and/or escape routes, i.e. fire doors which is an increasingly common repair that cannot be done in-house. It is anticipated 25% of repairs will fall under priority 1, and the contractor must attend site within 2-4 hours. The contractor will be expected to contract under a measured term contract. A draft copy of the measured term contract has been uploaded to the portal in order to give contractors an understanding of what is required and the expected volume. Timescales: NAC hope to appoint a contractor during June 2021. The contract duration is 12 months with the option to extend by up to 12 months. This is a 2-year pilot, and NAC may move to a longer duration contract next time around.
