Notice Title
Award of C0205 - Car Park Cash Collection
Notice Description
Forestry and Land Scotland (FLS) require the collection of secure cash boxes from car park payment machines. The machine will provide a ticket detailing how much cash is in the cash box. The cash box must be replaced by a new one in the car park payment machine, and must then be securely transported, and the total amount of collected cash must be deposited in FLS' bank account. This contract is a further competition against the Scotland Excel Security Services and Cash Collection Framework Ref 0719, Lot 4 - Cash Collection.FLS currently have 42 sites which require this service (65 individual payment machines). Sites are located within the following areas: Moray & Aberdeenshire; Inverness, Ross & Skye; Cowal & Trossachs; Scottish Lowlands; Galloway; Dumfries and Borders; Tay; North Highland.FLS have plans to increase the number of car park sites which charge for parking. We anticipate overall this will increase car parks requiring collection to 60 car parks (81 individual payment machines). We do have a yearly timeline for increasing machines over the contract period however at present there are no exact dates for this. The pricing schedule (Appendix 1) includes details of all current sites and machines as well as the planned sites and machines and the year we anticipate to include them. FLS will notify the contractor 6 weeks in advance when/if additional car parks, in addition to those listed in the Pricing Schedule (Appendix 1), require the collection services. Pricing for these additional sites will be negotiated with FLS at the time. FLS will notify the contractor 2 weeks in advance when/if car parks are to be removed from the collection services. Please note that there will be a minimum of 55 individual machines for collection within this contract.Frequency of collections may differ throughout the year due to seasonal changes in car park usage, and FLS will notify the contractor of any changes. Estimated frequencies are detailed in the Pricing Schedule (Appendix 1).The contract value will be up to PS260,000.00 for the full contract duration (including optional extensions). However, bidders should note that although this is the estimated maximum value, FLS may modify the Contract, irrespective of the monetary value of those modifications, within the scope permitted under Regulation 72 (1) of The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, should Operational reasons require it. Operational reasons may be: changes in collection requirements (not foreseen or detailed within the specification); or changes in FLS' budgets.
