Notice Description
Dumfries & Galloway Council require a suitably qualified and experienced company (the Supplier) to undertake Fire Risk Assessment within approximately twenty-five existing non-domestic premises under the council's control. The range of premises typically include operational depots and workshops, social work activity resource centres, and leisure and sports facilities. The purpose of the fire risk assessment is to assure life safety in accordance with current fire safety legislation and relevant good practice. This will include but is not limited to: The Fire (Scotland) Act 2005 The Fire Safety Regulations (Scotland) 2006 Scottish Government Practical Fire Safety Guidance for Existing Non-Residential Premises, February 2022 Scottish Government Practical Fire Safety Guidance for Existing Premises with Sleeping Accommodation, February 2022 The expectation is that Supplier will be certified in accordance with the BAFE competency scheme SP205 Life Safety Fire Risk Assessment. The required fire risk assessments shall be consistent with the guidance and methodology set out within PAS79-1 2020.
