Notice Description
The Authority is seeking a Contractor(s) for Provision of Minor Works Framework to both New College Lanarkshire (NCL) and South Lanarkshire College (SLC). The services will be divided into the following six lots. Please note, NCL will be seeking the services of all lotted services. SLC will only require the services of lots 1, 2 & 3 as stated below. New College Lanarkshire & South Lanarkshire College: Lot 1 - Electrical Lot 2 - Flooring Lot 3 - Multi Trade New College Lanarkshire Only: Lot 4 - Joinery (NCL Only) Lot 5 - Plumbing (NCL Only) Lot 6 - Painting & Decorating Services (NCL Only)
Lot Information
Flooring
Lot 2 - Flooring The provision of all services defined as flooring services. This lot includes for the repair, replacement, maintenance and installation of flooring including carpets. May also include auxiliary services. Contractors require to be suitably qualified, experienced and competent to carry out the Work Orders issued under this lot.
Renewal: The initial agreement duration will be for 24 months. Thereafter, the Authority reserves the right to extend the Agreement for a further two periods of 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance and continued Authority requirements.
ElectricalLot 1 - Electrical The provision of all services defined as electrician services. May also include auxiliary services. Contractors under this lot are required to be registered with the National Inspection Council for Electrical Installation Contracting (NICEIC) (or equivalent) and the electricians must be fully qualified, experienced and competent to carry out the Work Orders issued under this lot. All work must be compliant with BS- 7671:2018+A2:2022 Requirements for electrical installations, or later version as applicable. All services when altered or installed must have final tests and commissioning carried out and recorded that they are in full safe working order before use by the Institution(s). All appropriate test certificates must be provided. In the event that proprietary equipment or control systems require diagnostic or remedial action which is beyond the experience of the Contractor's own staff, the Contractor shall obtain agreement with the Estates Manager or their representative for the services of the manufacturer.
Renewal: The initial agreement duration will be for 24 months. Thereafter, the Authority reserves the right to extend the Agreement for a further two periods of 12 months, subject to satisfactory performance and continued Authority requirements.
Multi TradeLot 3 - Multi Trade The provision of all Multi Trade services which includes two, some or all services detailed in lots 1-6. Where a multi trade Work Order is awarded the Contractor will be required to supervise and coordinate all the trades under their control to ensure the efficient completion of the Work Order. Contractors awarded onto this lot may also be asked to provide a trade not specifically covered under lots 1 - 6. Contractors require to be suitably qualified, experienced and competent to carry out all Work Orders issued under this lot.

Joinery (NCL Only)Lot 4 - Joinery (NCL only) The Provision of all services defined as joinery services. May also include auxiliary services. Contractors require to be suitably qualified, experienced and competent to carry out the Work Orders issued under this lot. All work must be compliant with The Health and Safety at Work and all other relevant legislation. All services when altered or installed must have final commissioning completed in all phases of the project, from the basic and detailed design, construction and assembly, until the final handover of the work to the Estates Manager. All contract drawings and specifications provided by the Contractor must be compliant to British Standards and Building Regulations, or otherwise agreed by the Estates Manager.

Plumbing (NCL Only)Lot 5 - Plumbing (NCL only) The Provision of all services defined as plumbing services. May also include auxiliary services Contractors under this lot are required to be registered members of Scotland and Northern Ireland Plumbing Employers' Federation (SNIPEF) (or equivalent) and must be suitably qualified, experienced and competent to carry out the Work Orders issued under this lot. All work must be compliant to BS 8558:2015 Guide to the design, installation, testing and maintenance or services supplying water for domestic use within buildings and their curtilages- Complimentary guidance to BS EN 806, BS EN 806-1, BS EN 806-2, BS EN 806-3, BS EN 806-4 & BS 806-5 or later version as applicable. The Water Fitting and Materials Directory fitting, materials and appliances approved for use on the UK Water Supply System by the Water Regulations Advisory Scheme. All services when altered or installed must have final testing and commissioning completed in compliance with relevant regulations until the final handover to the Estates Manager. All contract drawings and specifications provided by the Contractor must be compliant to British Standards and Building Regulations, or otherwise agreed by the Estates Manager.

Painting & Decorating Services (NCL Only)Lot 6 - Painting & Decorating Services (NCL only) The Provision of all services defined as painting and/or decorating services. May also include auxiliary services. Contractors require to be suitably qualified, experienced and competent to carry out the Work Orders issued under this lot. All work must be compliant to BS 8000-12:1989 Workmanship on building sites Code of Practice for Decorative Wall coverings and Painting or later version as applicable. All works must be carried out in accordance with good practice and recognised standards of the painting & decorating industry.
