The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract for the Provision of a Suspended Access Equipment Maintenance Measured Term Contract (MTC) (2026-30) (UOS-42585-2026).

Lot 1

The University of Strathclyde ("the University") is seeking to establish a Contract for the activities outlined below. The Contract will include, however, will not be limited to: - Carry out safety inspections, testing and certification of all suspended access equipment across the John Anderson Campus in full accordance with the requirements of SAFED LG3 Issue 03.2, using competent and appropriately trained personnel: - Annual load tests and certification that complies with BS 6037-1:2017, BS 6037-2:2020, SAFED LG3 Issue 03.2, and BS 7985:2013: - Associated remedial / reactive services / works: - Provision of a detailed maintenance report upon completion of the visit, which must include photographic evidence, system locations, and Pass/Fail certificates: - The principal systems covered under this contract include the AESA Building Maintenance Units (BMUs), Noracon Inclined Travelling Gantries, and Rostek Monorail Access Systems: - Planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) of campus wide suspended access equipment including monorail mounted suspended cradles, horizontal & vertically mounted suspended BMUs, inclined rail building maintenance units, and a manual travelling gantry system: - Provision of training services to ensure correct operation of equipment; and - Supply, delivery and installation of suspended access systems where required.. Economic operators may be excluded from this competition if they are in any of the situations referred to in regulation 8 and 9 of the Procurement (Scotland) Regulations 2016.

Options: In line with 72 - Modification of Contracts During their Term, of the Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2015, this Contract may be modified without a new procurement procedure in accordance with this Part in some cases.

Renewal: The contract duration is 24-months, with the option to extend for up to an additional two 12-month periods. The Contracting Authority reserves the right to utilise the extension periods at its discretion.
