Description: The Humber Violence Prevention Partnership (VPP) is a multi-agency partnership committed to providing an evidence-led, public health approach to reducing serious violence across the region. To do that effectively, children and young people must be at the heart of our work-shaping, informing, and driving the strategies and interventions that affect them. Attendance at school is a known protective factor in relation to serious violence. The prevalence of severe absences, suspensions and exclusions is relatively well understood, with data and analysis included with the HVPP Strategic Needs Assessment (SNA ). In addition, other work in respect of 'Trauma informed practice' and the HU9 pilot has been undertaken in the region to increase attendance in school.
