Description: The Council is intending to undertake a procurement exercise for a welfare advice service in the North Area of Barnsley. In order to help inform such an exercise, the Council in undertaking this pre-market engagement stage to explore what is available and seek feedback and guidance from the supply market. The potential requirement will be around: - Delivery of a welfare advice service accessible to residents in the wards in the North Area i.e. Darton East, Darton West, Old Town and St Helens. - Delivery of drop in sessions at community venues within each of the aforementioned wards. - Delivery of a service that enables residents to obtain advice and support on a plethora of topics including but not limited to welfare, benefits, employment, power of attorney, etc. (read more...)
