Description: THIS IS NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION. THIS IS A MARKET ENGAGEMENT. Short breaks are a vital support service for families with disabled children and young people. When making commissioning and funding decisions local authorities must ensure that regard is paid to all the relevant legal duties, in particular the short breaks duty in The Children Act 1989 and the duties in the Breaks for Carers of Disabled Children Regulations 2011.
