The Council is seeking to award contracts within the boundaries of Brighton and Hove for the provision of Care Home beds on a spot purchase basis. Out of city care homes are contracted via an alternative route. Bidders who pass the qualifying criteria will be awarded a contract. Individual placements will be made on a spot purchase basis throughout the life of the contract.The Council guarantees no set volume of placements under this contract and reserves the right to contract for comparable provision through other means. The estimated contract value represents the estimated spend on all care home activity for six years, through all contracting routes which will vary. Individual placements will be made via a brokerage process, where individual outcomes and costs are agreed between the Council and the Supplier. You are invited to meet with representatives from Brighton & Hove City Council to discuss the recommissioning of Ageing Well on Thursday 6th June 10am - 11.45am at Hove Town Hall. To book your place at this event please email clare.langford@brighton-hove.gov.uk The current contract for this service has run successfully since April 2019 and expires at the end of March 2025. We are now looking towards the next chapter in our ambition to be a city where everyone has the opportunity to age well. We are again looking to commission a lead provider, working under a single contract with a partnership of providers, to deliver an integrated citywide service of health promotion and primary prevention to older adults. The new Ageing Well Service will build on the best elements of the existing service and maintain the current identity. The name of the service will remain Ageing Well in order to continue to build brand awareness in the city. The new service will comprise of two clear elements of delivery. These are: 'a connection service', and 'evidence-based activity provision to support health & wellbeing'. There will be presentations on the context, rationale for the new service, further details on the service specification, and an opportunity for discussions and questions. Brighton and Hove City Council (BHCC) has established a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) for the supply of services in respect of Community Support and Supported Living for adults for an initial period of up to 5 years + with optional further extension provisions for an additional 3 years + 2 years. This Contract Notice is for the second admission round onto the DPS. The services required fall under Schedule 3 of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (PCR 2015). As a result, this procurement is undertaken under the 'Light Touch Regime' as detailed in Section 7 of PCR 2015. Any interested organisation or consortium with relevant experience may apply to be admitted onto the DPS. Lot 1: Community Support Community Support will be delivered to adults with learning Disabilities and who may also be autistic, mental health needs, Neurodivergent and who may also be autistic, acquired brain injuries, physical disabilities and/or sensory needs or substance misuse and eligible Care Act needs Accommodation is not part of the Service (e.g., the Individual has an independent tenancy or lives with family/others) and this would continue regardless of the support provided. The Community Support Service will provide outcome focused support that meets the aims and goals agreed with each Individual. The Service must provide person-centred support and a strengths-based approach. Estimated Aggregate Value across lifetime of the DPS (5 + 3 + 2 years) = £30,000,000 Admission stage evaluation will be based on 100% Quality. Pricing will be requested and will be binding until 31st March 2026 but will not be scored. [...]
