Lot Information
Lot 1
Mid and West Wales Fire and Rescue Service, on behalf of ourselves, South Wales Fire and Rescue Service and North Wales Fire and Rescue Service (Wales's Fire and Rescue Services) are seeking tenders from suppliers interested in providing a contract for the Supply, Servicing and Maintenance of Portable Misting Systems, which can be installed in private dwellings. Wales's Fire and Rescue Services cover all 22 local authority areas within Wales and provide emergency response, community safety education and fire prevention services for the people of Wales. Part of the prevention work includes the provision of personal misting systems to high risk vulnerable people. The people we support will tend to be non-ambulant and have a high risk of experiencing a dwelling fire (e.g. heavy smokers, oxygen users etc). This support has historically consisted of the installation of a stand-alone water misting system with its own detection system that will operate to control and / or extinguish a fire that has started in the area monitored by the detection system.
