    "description": "UU will be working with L Marks in the delivery of this procurement process. Documents including a step-by-step guide and how to use the portal have been included within the documents folder and more information can be found on the website at www.unitedutilities.com/innovation Following the completion of the innovation lab, UU may enter into a supply agreement with one or more participants. The maximum price will be set at no more than demonstrable and approved costs + 50 % margin. Alternatively, UU may take a license to manufacture from one or more participants. Final versions of the contract terms will be provided prior to pitch day. Drafts are made available at the applications stage for information, along with a draft procurement document for the ideas stage. UU will not pay candidates for lab participation alone, but will provide a fixed maximum level of participation support in consideration for which participants will be expected to carry out the relevant R&D activities. UU will pay each successful candidate up to GBP 5 000 for legal costs for participants to review and understand the contract terms before entering the lab.",

Following Pitch Day, responses will be assessed and up to eight applicants will be awarded a place in the Innovation Lab (providing their score is 75 % or above).
