Notice Title
432254 Strategic Resource Options (SRO) Market Engagement
Notice Description
Meeting the water resource supply-demand balance to ensure resilient supplies during droughts is becoming ever more challenging with increasing pressures from climate change, population growth, societal expectations and increasing environmental aspirations. In response, OFWAT have established the Regulatory Alliance for Progressing Infrastructure Development (RAPID) an alliance of three water industry regulators: Ofwat, the Environment Agency and Drinking Water Inspectorate - to support and oversee the development of Strategic Resource Options to secure long-term resilience on behalf of customers while protecting the environment and benefiting wider society. These are intended to be construction ready between 2025-2030.' This Market Engagement is to help inform options for potential supply chain set up of services required to support strategic regional options currently being considered by Thames Water and partner water companies. Please see Section VI.3 Additional Information for access to the supplier information pack and process for submitting your responses through IASTA Smartsource.

Where Thames Water considers that it is necessary or otherwise appropriate to seek to clarify any aspect of a response, it may contact the entity which has submitted the relevant response accordingly. The information set out in the supplier information pack (available through IASTA Smartsource, details below) is not exhaustive and has been prepared by Thames Water to provide the market with relevant background information and an overview of some of Thames Water's anticipated requirements. Thames Water accepts no liability or responsibility to any person (including a legal person) as a consequence of relying on the information set out in these slides. This survey is a standalone exercise intended to gather information and it does not form part of any formal procurement process. Thames Water may use any responses to this survey to inform any potential future SRO procurement processes. At the same time, Thames Water reserves the right not to conduct any SRO procurement process. In the event that Thames Water decide to conduct any SRO procurement process, this survey does not commit Thames Water to any particular timeline, process, scope or value of procurement. Your participation in this market engagement will not automatically include or exclude you from any future SRO procurement processes. Subject to a respondent's express consent (to be provided or withheld in the context of a response to this market engagement), Thames Water reserves the right to share responses with one or more water companies to the extent that they are or become a party to an SRO scheme in relation to which you have provided relevant feedback. We may do this to inform any potential joint procurement strategy. Please indicate on the survey if you do not consent to Thames Water sharing your response, or part of your response, with one or more of the listed partners. IASTA Access The supplier information pack and ability to upload a response will be hosted on a platform called IASTA Smartsource.
