Summary of the contracting process

Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust is spearheading the procurement of the "Immersive, Simulation and Related Technologies Dynamic Purchasing System," focusing on education and training services in the United Kingdom. Located in London, this procurement, initiated under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015, is currently in the tender stage. The procurement process follows a selective method through a restricted procedure and aims to run until 27th March 2028, with possible extensions subject to annual review. The initiative involves a Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), providing a compliant route for health and care sectors to access immersive learning technologies. Key procurement deadlines include the tender period ending on 3rd September 2027, underlining the framework's long-term impact on the industry.

This tender represents a significant growth opportunity for businesses specialising in immersive and simulation technologies, particularly those focused on educational software, content development, and hardware provision. Companies capable of developing high-quality simulation-based programmes for health and care education are well-positioned to benefit from this national agreement. With a projected value of £500 million, businesses providing XR technologies and related professional services are encouraged to engage with this dynamic market. Suppliers interested in joining the DPS should register on the Health Family Single eCommercial System and demonstrate their capacity to offer and maintain innovative solutions within this evolving field.
