The contract, classified under Building and Facilities Management Services (CPV: 79993000), was awarded on 8 January 2025 and will run initially for three years starting from 13 January 2025, with a potential one-year extension. The procurement utilised an open procedure, and the contract value amounts to £665,875.33. The tender included crucial dates for site visits and submission deadlines in September 2024, aiming for a smooth operational transition by October 2025 at Camas House.

This tender provides significant business growth opportunities, particularly for businesses specialising in comprehensive facilities management, including repair and maintenance services, cleaning, and tenant liaison. Enterprises such as small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that can offer best value public expenditure, technological efficiency, and environmental sustainability are highly suitable to compete. With the requirement for cyber security, prompt payments, and real living wage commitments, businesses that excel in these areas will stand out. The selected supplier, Oban Electrical Services (Ltd), underscores the competitive nature of securing such valuable contracts and the potential for lucrative and stable partnerships with regional agencies like HIE.
