Notice Title
Delivery of the Network for Neighbourhoods, part of the Pride in Place Programme
Notice Description
The 'Network for Neighbourhoods' (Network) is intended to build capacity and facilitate peer learning within MHCLG's flagship Pride in Place Programme (PiPP). PiPP is investing in 284 places across the UK to support regeneration, civic participation, and community leadership. The local delivery model for PiPP centres the power of local people and partnerships, bringing together residents, the local MP, councils, businesses, and community organisations to produce a clear vision for their area through the establishment of a Neighbourhood Board. The Neighbourhood Board is responsible for producing the 10-year vision for a place, supported by interventions which are set out in their Plan. Neighbourhoods will decide how to prioritise funding, based on extensive community engagement. The Network is being developed as part of the support offer for Neighbourhood Boards and community leaders (as the end customer/user), aiming to build lasting community capacity and support inclusive, locally-led change. This will be in addition to the support already in place from MHCLG's Communities Delivery Unit, which provides a designated 'point person' to each place who provides direct ongoing support, helps places to interpret guidance, and builds connections into government. The Network aims will be to: * Provide Neighbourhood Boards with access to bespoke advice and guidance to support community-led regeneration * Enable strong community leadership, facilitating identification of current and future leaders, and equipping them with the skills, tools and confidence to drive change through inclusive engagement and effective community organising * Support peer learning and share good practice, including through events and a new digital platform * Amplify opportunities to 'crowd in' funders to create a multiplier effect by drawing in additional funding MHCLG are considering options to work with external delivery partners to deliver the first three aims, i.e.: * bespoke advice and guidance to support community-led regeneration; * supporting strong community leadership and engagement through capacity building activities; and * facilitating a network of good practice and peer learning, including through digital solutions. Further details on the proposed requirements and scope will be included in the Pre-Market Engagement document available via email request (commercialtenders@communities.gov.uk)
