The Scottish Prison Service is planning a tender titled "01684 Provision of Retail Goods to the SPS", aimed at supplying approximately 600 retail products to its establishments across Scotland. The procurement process is currently in the planning stage, with key dates including a future notice expected on 25th January 2019. This contract falls under the "goods" category, specifically within public order and safety, and will follow a restricted procurement procedure, requiring an evaluation of bidders through a European Single Procurement Document (ESPD) before inviting selected candidates to tender.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the retail sector, particularly those providing confectionery, snacks, toiletries, and vaping products. Companies that specialise in logistics and supply chain management will also find this tender appealing due to the requirement for regular deliveries and strict adherence to security protocols in prison environments.
