Summary of the contracting process

NHS Supply Chain is seeking suppliers for a non-exclusive Framework Agreement titled "Instrument Decontamination and Accessories", which is currently in the Award stage. The framework encompasses the supply of a range of medical cleaning, decontamination, and sterilisation products, estimated to be valued at approximately £61.8 million over its full term. The contract is set to commence on 1st December 2018 and is expected to run until 30th November 2022. The procurement is conducted through an open procedure, with the tender period having ended on 16th April 2018. This opportunity is nationwide, affecting regions across the UK including North East, London, and South East.

This tender presents significant opportunities for businesses in the medical equipment and healthcare supply sector, particularly for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and Voluntary, Community, and Social Enterprises (VCSEs). Companies supplying decontamination equipment, medical consumables, and related accessories would be particularly well-suited to compete for this contract. Given the anticipated growth in product usage within the NHS framework, potential suppliers can expect a robust demand for their offerings throughout the contract duration.
